First week checklist

Goal

By end of week one you can find any runbook, open a documentation PR, and run a provisioning playbook in a sandbox.

Day 1 — Access

  • Entra ID group membership: automation-guild, wiki-authors
  • Azure DevOps access to the four Ansible repos
  • Teams channels: automation-runs, incident-p1
  • Key Vault read access for the sandbox scope

Day 2 — Orientation

Day 3 — First contribution

  • Fix a small doc typo → open a PR → get it reviewed & merged
  • Watch an auto-drafted PR land from a real repo change

Day 4 — Hands-on

  • Run a provisioning playbook against the sandbox inventory
  • Verify the resource appears in the CMDB

Day 5 — Wrap

  • Meet your section owners (see RACI)
  • Note anything confusing → that's a doc gap → open an issue
